I'm just sitting here, again, and I'm curious about something- who in Spirit Blood : Genesis of War do you LOVE to hate? If a character is well rounded, yet supposed to be a "bad guy" then it's quite possible to hate them yet love them at the same time. Please share with us your thoughts on this. :-)
I'll start- My favorite bad guy is Leon! I can't type the little accent over the e on blogger. No, his name is not pronounced Lee-on, but rather Lay-on. Say his name like you have a foriegn accent- have fun with it. :-p
Why do I love to hate Leon? He's everything Jason is, but with an evil purpose. It's really too bad in my opinion that Leon must be Jason's nemesis. That means if Mike wishes to end the 3+ part story in a conventional way, then Leon is destined to be defeated. That's a little sad to think about, but then again, knowing Michael, Leon either won't go down without an incredible fight, or Mike will trick us all and put some unexpected twist on Leon's life. Only time, and the final book, will tell. :-D
Okay, your turn! Let us hear your opinions and thoughts!
Later, Ashley

Looking forward to Barnes & Noble book signing!
Exciting times ahead!
Our first book signing gave Mike and I the much needed educational start to the art of book signings so that we could really make the Barnes & Noble signing a major success. We first wish to thank all our beloved friends and family that came out to City News to give us their support. As well as their support, we were blessed enough to gain one more loyal fan in the mix- Thanks Dan!!
We certainly do not expect our friends to show up to each and every one of our signings, but for those of you that wanted to attend City News but couldn't make it, we hope to see your bright and smiling faces on the 22nd of August at our local Barnes & Noble bookstore. We'll be there from 3-5pm, and YES there most certainly SHOULD BE hardback books available at that time!! Yay!
We wish to thank Shawn at City News for her devotion and faith in us even though we're brand new and pretty much unknown authors. We pray many blessings on you and your store for your help and kindness. Your employees were kind as well. Mike LOVED the smoothie! Thanks!
Thank you once again to everyone that has read our book, reviewed our book, passed along a flier of ours, gave us an encouraging word, prayed for us, bought from or for us, or just simply said congratulations. Trust me- we needed each and every offering we received. :-)
Have a blessed Summer as we all wait patiently on the move of the Lord.
Ashley

Let's Hear From You Now...
I was sitting here trying to think of something to say; some kind of new post, but I kept coming up blank. Then suddenly I had an idea- what if you guys (or ya'll, as I like to say) were given the opportunity to ask us questions regarding Spirit Blood or the characters or our upcoming works? Of course this would require ya'll to be the writers now (Sorry Josh), but I know there are probably a ton of questions that could be asked, so here's your chance!
Just to let you know- Michael is currently brainstorming the beginning of the 2nd installment for Spirit Blood (oooh, it's good too, but I am a bit biased) as well as writing on a completely different novel called The Called. If you like Spirit Blood, then you should love The Called!
I, along with helping Michael with these two projects, am attempting to write on two novels of my own creation. One is called A Forbidden Salvation and the other is But What If They'd Lived?. My writing style is more of a Christian Romance or just clean Romance Drama. Sorry Josh if these two styles aren't really your kind of book. :-(
Okay, now the floor is yours! Ask what you want and let's get this blog to flying!
Love ya all,
Ashley Reis

What is your favorite character from Spirit Blood?
I thought I'd just throw this out there for fun- tell us your favorite character from Spirit Blood: Genesis of War, and why it is your favorite.
Perhaps we'll take into consideration your comments when deciding whether or not to kill that person off. (haha!) Just kidding, but life is never certain, so it's always a possibility that your favorite character could be killed off in our next book, so be sure to get their vote in now for survival. :-D
To answer this for myself (this is Ashley by the way), my favorite would have to be Jason! While writing on Spirit Blood I fell madly in love with this character. He is not only handsome, but he's the perfect man too- strong, sympathetic, brave, caring, friendly, powerful, fatherly, loyal...the list could go on, but I feel to continue would make me look a little crazy. (If I don't already, that is. :-P)
Okay, now it's your turn. You can put your favorite scene in with your reason, but try not to put in spoilers unless you warn readers first of any potential spoilers. Have fun! We're waiting... :-D
